Diamond kid quilt

Made for a dear friend who is adopting from China. I used the "gemology" quilt pattern and embroidered lightning bolts around the diamonds.

Scrappy Mini Hexie Quilt

Finally done!
This quilt has gone everywhere with me! Parks, playdates, libraries and even poolside. I figured it out and it's been to 10 states with me as well as Canada

Mom's New and improved Quilt

This quilt was so fun to put together. I originally had a different design in mind, using just half square triangle blocks like the nine in the center. As I started laying them out I really didn't like it.  I then decided to base the quilt around the blocks I loved the most and do fun borders with the left over HST's. 

Quite possibly my favorite part about this quilt are the "tall tails" blocks I made. Plus they're a free pattern!

This quilt is Queen-size so I decided to hand quilt it

I came across this paper piecing pattern on instagram and just had to purchase it. Such a fun pattern to make!

Boxy pouches

Made these two cute boxy pouches recently and now I'm hooked! I wanna make everything into a cute zipper pouch!

Typewriter Skirt

This skirt was quite an ordeal. I kept buying the wrong size pattern and found out the orginal fabric I wanted to use wasn't enough yardage. Kerfuffle after kerfuffle and months of letting the pattern and fabric hide in the closet I finally got up the courage to make this simplicity skirt (1369). I had to adjust the back seam twice because it came out HUGE. Simplicity right? Isn't this supposed to be simple? Ah well, it's done and I'm okay - ish with it. Points for having pockets and a cute print. Negative points for making me feel like a poofy muffin.

Purple Spiderweb Quilt

Made this quilt for a friend of mine as a Christmas present. She loves purple and parks and rec so this was the outcome

Monkey socks

Finished these socks and love the way they turned out! I'm starting to love Cookie A sock patterns more and more

Crazy flying geese quilt

Finished this crazy colorful quilt! It's full of mistakes and quirks but I love it! I was able to use all the scrap triangles from the flying geese to make hst and incorporate them in the quilt. I also had random orphan blocks that I was able to throw in the mix as well. I  mostly machine quilted this and then went back over certain sections and hand quilted just for an extra finishing touch.

Pomatomus socks

Finally finished these babies! A more complicated pattern than I'm used to in socks, but once I got into the flow of them they were actually quite nice to knit.

Shan and Phils Wedding Quilt

Finished this quilt for friends getting married in November. I had to limit myself color-wise and I rather like the result

Finished and working on projects

Been playing around scraps and enjoying making random words with my new paper piecing alphabet pattern I got off Etsy. I've also been sewing random sizes of diamonds that will hopefully one day be a quilt. I finished a mini quilt for my mom for Mothers Day with her favorite catchphrase "Just Saying". I finished knitting my "Libbey shawl" and my hexagon mini quilt which is now hanging on my wall.

Crazy Improv Quilt 2

I've been working on this quilt for a while and just finished it last week. Lot of improvised log cabins and random blocks in this quilt. That's probably why I like it so much!

Jasseron Sweater

 Finished my Jasseron sweater a couple weeks ago. I wanted a sweater with a simple back and front but with patterned sleeves. I mulled over a many different options but this one was the closest I could find to what I wanted on Ravelry. I wasn't sold on the pattern at first because even though its a "raglan" it's knit in four separate pieces! (Not my fave, but hey it was a free pattern) I had to fanagle the sleeves and neck a bit in the sewing together process, but all in all not a bad finished sweater!

Jovi's Baby Quilt

My Niece was born last week! Here's the quilt I made her. I tried to stick to only a couple different fabrics as well as a color theme. It's hard! I just want everything to be multicolored

Hexagon tea cozy

Finished this tea (or coffee press) cozy a couple weeks ago. I used up a lot of my small vintage sheet scraps making this, which is fabulous.

Lego Quilt

A friend of mine commissioned a wedding quilt for her twin sister this past spring. She was very flexible with colors and only specified it be a triangle pattern and "Not too girly" 

This was the end result and I love it! Limiting myself to solids is not my norm, but it looks so pretty I am thinking of making another.

Winter is upon us and I find myself layering more and more. Colder weather means I just want to knit giant cowls ALL THE TIME. I finished the one above this past week and it is just as big and comfy as I hoped it would be. 

I also finished up my knee high cable socks made from hardy New Zealand yarn
