A couple months ago I started sewing together my random hexagon projects and orphan blocks with the intent to make a quilt. It's very random and it has been fun making it up as I go along. I'm trying to use up lots of scraps and remnants and hoping to at least (eventually) get to a throw size quilt.

This skirt was quite an ordeal. I kept buying the wrong size pattern and found out the orginal fabric I wanted to use wasn't enough yardage. Kerfuffle after kerfuffle and months of letting the pattern and fabric hide in the closet I finally got up the courage to make this simplicity skirt (1369). I had to adjust the back seam twice because it came out HUGE. Simplicity right? Isn't this supposed to be simple? Ah well, it's done and I'm okay - ish with it. Points for having pockets and a cute print. Negative points for making me feel like a poofy muffin.
