Timmy's quilt

Friends of mine just had a baby about a month ago and since they didn't find out the gender ahead of time, I whipped up this quilt after he was born. Perfect timing as this became a "happy new baby but also it's Christmas" gift.
I used this fun woodland print for the backing and binding.

A simple design using HST but I love it. Thinking of altering the pattern slightly and making another one! I am so proud of myself for committing to only using ten fabrics with this! Usually I just want ALL the fabrics in a quilt and I can't commit to one color scheme.

Paper Cutouts

Ive been filling my notebook with a lot of paper cutouts and collages. Heavily inspired by the crafty works of Beci Orpin. I love her stuff and her craft books are always full of colorful fun items that inspire.
My profile with a paper banner. Also Diamonds, LOTS of diamonds.
I did a fallish/Thanksgiving themed page last week.

Everything's betta' with a Sweata'

Just finished knitting and blocking my Mama Vertebrae sweater. Super fast and easy knit. Used Malabrigo Rios which is 100% superwash merino and lovely to knit with.
The sleeves blocked out a bit long for my taste, easily fixed by rolling the cuff.
Finished just in time for fall!

Color Affection Shawl

Finally finished this shawl last week. Blocking it was a little tricky because I carried my yarn too tightly. I blocked the edge in a scallop pattern because of excess edging.
I think it came out rather nice, just in time for fall (please get here soon)

Crazy Improv Log Cabin Quilt

This has been a work in process for awhile. Over time I've been making crazy improv blocks out of scraps and such.
It finally all came together last week when I added the final blocks and basted and quilted it. There's a lot of crazy random stuff going on in this quilt. Orphan blocks, random fabrics and even an embroidery.
I decided to use a bunch of scrap strips to make a sort of coin quilt "feel" on the back.

Close up of the randomness

I relate a lot to this quote ^

Large Mushroom Plushies

Made some large size mushrooms this past week. I've made a lot of smaller versions of these, but I thought it was high time I added some large ones to the shop.
This one is just asking to be cuddled.

Custom Orders

Over the last 6 months or so I've had some custom orders on Etsy. I had a request for a Iron man inspired jellyfish complete with an apple. (heaven knows why) I also had someone request a purple jellyfish with orange eyes. Which turned out super adorable.
Below is a knightly dinosaur complete with sword ready to fight deadly foes.
Kudos to the girl who asked for the dino, tons of creative idea points go to her.

A lavender top hat wearing octopus was requested as well, cause why not?

Vintage Cross Quilt

My best friend is getting married this summer and this is the wedding quilt I made for her. I used kona solids and a variety of vintage sheets.

Giant Octopus!

Had someone contact me on Etsy and ask for a custom GIANT octopus. This was a ridiculously big project for me, but I love the end result. Hands down the biggest plushie I've ever made!
Now just to ship this beast!

Finished Cross Stitch

I finished this cross stitch last December but (cough) never posted it. These are lyrics from one of my favorite worship songs. As you can see I made a few (maybe a lot ) of mistakes in this piece. In my defense it was my first large cross stitch project. Now to find a frame to fit it.

Solid Log Cabin Quilt

I saw this quilt block on pinterest awhile ago and knew right away I wanted to make a quilt with this design. I made this particular quilt for a friends birthday, but I am determined to make another one for myself. It just came out so pretty!
The back was made up from scraps and a couple blocks I made from leftover solids. I am particularly fond of the pixel-ish block on the left.
 *sigh* So pretty.

Erik's Geektastic Quilt

This past Christmas I made my little brother a geek quilt incorporating Star Wars, Marvel, Star Trek and DC. I used a variation of a "Shoo fly" block.
The back is mostly from leftover yardage and a bit of scrap patchwork in the middle.
