Crazy Improv Quilt 2

I've been working on this quilt for a while and just finished it last week. Lot of improvised log cabins and random blocks in this quilt. That's probably why I like it so much!

Crazy Improv Log Cabin Quilt

This has been a work in process for awhile. Over time I've been making crazy improv blocks out of scraps and such.
It finally all came together last week when I added the final blocks and basted and quilted it. There's a lot of crazy random stuff going on in this quilt. Orphan blocks, random fabrics and even an embroidery.
I decided to use a bunch of scrap strips to make a sort of coin quilt "feel" on the back.

Close up of the randomness

I relate a lot to this quote ^

Diamond Wedding Quilt

A good friend of mine is getting married this Sunday and this is the wedding quilt I made for her and her husband to be. Love this pattern, love the colors. LOVE how fast this went.
I just pieced together odds and ends for the back. Pay no attention to the weird puckering.

I won't lie, I was sorely tempted to keep this one. I am glad that it's found a nice home now.

Quilting again!

I know it sounds weird to most of you, but I've missed quilting. A LOT. After three months of sewing just plushies it feels so good to be making stuff......that's not plushies. I'm excited about this pattern and the fact that I can use a good amount of my fabric scraps. Double brownie points if I can reduce the ridiculous amount of scraps that I have. Plus it means I have an excuse to buy new fabric. "OH DEAR. I SEEM TO HAVE RUN OUT OF SCRAPS. Darn. I guess a trip to the fabric store is in order"
Imagine sparkles and stars around "fabric store"

 Netflix marathon + quilting= a beauteous evening
